Ok, I've been wondering about this for the longest time. I got Lightening Force (yes, that's how its spelled) for the Genesis a long time ago and played it forever, but that's beside the point. Really what I want to know is what is the difference between these two titles? Just the name or are there level design differences? I hear it refered to as Thunder Force IV everywhere else, even the Wikipedia, and can hardly find anything calling it Lightening Force. I've seen screens of TF4 and it looks to be the exact same game as LF. So is it some rename for the US release or what?

I just got done reading that (what I mentioned about the Wiki) and I didn't see anything about Lightening Force. But from what I can scrape from it, LF is just the US-named version.
